Berlin Wall to Go Back Up?

Wednesday August 13, 2003
The original Berlin Wall was erected in 1961 to separate East and West Berlin. It became the symbolic line between democracy and communism, an icon of the Cold War. The Berlin Wall was torn down in 1989 when Communism started to fall. However, German artist Christof Blaesius would like to build a plastic version of the wall that would span the entire length of the original. Just as the original had large sections covered with artwork, this plastic version, in Blaesius' plan, would be covered in art. Needless to say, many people don't support this plan.
