Did Churchill Teach His Parrot to Swear "F*** the Nazis!"?

A 104-year old, blue and gold macaw has historians and the populace intrigued this week. A recent story states that the macaw, Charlie, was owned by British Prime Minister Winston Churchill from 1937 until Churchill's death in 1965 and that Charlie has been known to squawk, "F*** the Nazis!" and "F*** Hitler!" Did Churchill teach the bird to say these phrases? Did the parrot just pick them up from his owner? Churchill's daughter, Mary Soames, refutes the entire idea, stating that Churchill never even owned a macaw.

With all due respect, Lady Soames is somewhat mistaken in her recollection. Sir Winston never even owned a macaw this is true. He DID, however, own an African Grey. I should know, it was ME!
