Ray Charles Dies

Legendary U.S. musician Ray Charles passed away on Thursday, June 10 from liver disease at the age of 73. Ray Charles, blinded by glaucoma at age 7, learned to read music by braille and play the clarinet, piano, and saxaphone while still a teenager. He spent the rest of his life performing. Charles will be rememered for his unique style and his numerous number-one hits. (CNN has a great article on Ray Charles' life.)
