Two Japanese WWII Soldiers Found Alive in Jungle?
Sunday May 29, 2005
It has been 60 years since the end of World War II, but the news might never have reached two Japanese men hiding in a jungle in the Philippines. A Japanese national was on the southern island Mindanao collecting the remains of some WWII soldiers when he was approached by two elderly men who were carrying WWII-era supplies. It has not yet been confirmed whether or not these two men are really lost WWII Japanese soldiers. If true, the story is reminiscent of Japanese Lt. Hiroo Onoda who was found in the jungles of the Philippines in 1974.
