Barber Sold Neil Armstrong's Hair

Sunday June 5, 2005
Neil Armstrong has threatened to sue Marx Sizemore, owner and barber at Marx's Barber Shop in Lebanon, Ohio. Sizemore cut astronaut Neil Armstrong's hair, saved the hair clippings that had fallen on the floor, then sold these hair clippings for $3,000 to the world's largest celebrity hair collector, John Reznikoff. Armstrong was furious when he found out that his hair had been collected and sold without his permission. He requested that Sizemore return the hair and threatened to sue the barber if no action was taken. Sizemore, unable to get the hair back from Reznikoff, has agreed instead to donate his profits to charity.
