Controversy Continues Over Japanese History Books

South Korea and China have expressed outrage over what they believe is a whitewashing of Japan's militaristic history in Japan's recently-approved junior high textbooks. In an effort to promote discussion over the textbooks, Japan has commissioned the translation of several of these controversial textbooks into Chinese and Korean and has posted them online so that all can read.
