Warsaw Pact Archives to Open
Tuesday November 29, 2005
Seventeen hundred volumes of secret documents relating to the development and operations of the Warsaw Pact will be opened to researchers early next year. Poland's Defense Minister, Radek Sikorski, has signed an order to make the documents available and declassified through Poland's Institute of National Remembrance. The documents will include those related to the 1968 invasion of then-Czechoslovakia.
