Princess Diana's Death Pictures to Be Shown
Wednesday May 30, 2007
When Princess Diana died in a car crash on August 31, 1997, paparazzi were on hand to snap pictures of Princess Diana as she lay dying. As the ten-year anniversary of her death nears, a British documentary plans to air these pictures. Many people, including the British royal family, are completely against showing these emotional and graphic pictures. What do you think? Should the world be able to see Princess Diana in her final moments or should Princess Diana's final moments remain private? (Add your opinion by clicking "Comments" below.)

I think Princess Dianas final moments are just that. Princess Dianas final moments. Time to let the lady rest in peace.
The poor woman has been dead for 10 years, let it go. never never got a moments peace from day one…let her have it now.
THE NAZI’S ALSO HAD AN OCCULT PREOCCUPATION WITH PHOTOGRAPHY OF DYING AND MASS DEATH. THEY EVEN WENT SO FAR AS TO DIG UP DEAD PERSONS FROM THE GRAVE TO SHOW TO PERSONS THEY WERE INTERROGRATING ! WHATS NEXT FOR THE BRITISH PRESS. LET HER REST IN PEACE.
There has been much media hype in the UK over this.
Mainly it’s viewership-boosting PR by the TV channel concerned.
Apparently, the photos to be shown are in fact not at all direct and graphic.
I suggest that judgement should await facts.
But I also agree that such Diana stuff shouldn’t continually be regurgitated – from pure boredom in the subject after all this time, as well as from any respect.
Leave the beautiful lady alone.
If this is hype on the part of the TV channel, I hope that they get what they deserve. They do not deserve success.
This is macabre. Why would someone want to see pictures of someone in pain and distress and dying? Where is the dignity?
I feel for Diana and I feel for her family, especially her sons. All this ongoing debate about the program and photos are not at all good for them either.
Give them all a bit of peace, no, a great deal of peace.
Voila!
As much as morbid curiosity can win over this is clearly one of those times that should be left alone. This is the type of publishing that comes back to haunt the media because it is so low, tacky, disrespectful, and just plain trash. Take the high road and leave it alone. Unfortunately journalism has low road people just like every walk of life so I would imagine that somewhere somehow these photos will get published. If there were not low road people who would buy and look at them it would not matter.
Who cares
Tasteless and unnecessary.
I wish the press had more respect for life. It was partially their fault for the crash anyway! They need to get a life and do something better with their time.
The scum that took the pictures should have been put in jail 10 years ago. That a television station would be equally ghoulish is apalling. I hope the viewers in the UK boycott this station if they are so tasteless that they show these pictures. Have they even considered how this nonsense must affect her sons? Probably not, since they would just as likely sell their own children for money.
I think it would be a disrespectful and disgusting thing to show those pictures.
Who would find any benefit to a publication of such sad reminders of the loss that two young boys suffered when they lost their Mom. I would find it a deplorable act of depravity to disregard the dignity and privacy of Diana’s children who above all have been the ones to suffer the greatest loss in this tragic nightmare.
Only someone without a heart or soul would subject those two brothers to such an unspeakable violation.
Publication of these photos should be stopped by any means necessary. To do otherwise would be nothing short of barbaric.

Diana is said to have muttered “Leave me alone” as she was being removed from the car that crashed. I think that is a good idea for anyone who would publish these dreadful photos.
Let her rest in peace.
Hell No!
Let her have in death what she never had in life. Privacy.
Ghouls! Why anyone needs to see that is beyond me. If there is a god (and there isn’t apparently) Those scumarrazzi will spend an eternity in H E double toothpicks for causing her death
Publishing these pictures is just wrong.
These type of pictures of our dying princess should be kept private. Think of Princess Diana’s boys; what would this do to them, having to relive their mother’s death.
Please don,t. Showing the pix is worst than death.
I agree with a previous commentator(BEE)….who cares!!!
It’s a shame that some folks won’t let Princess Diana and her family be in peace. They must be desparate people to revive this story now.
I would fight by using all means legally available to me to make sure any pictures of my loved one as she/he were dying were never viewed. What we need to remember is that Diana was a human being who happend to have a title of Princess, this is not a fairy tale world. She was a beautiful woman with little privacy in life, surely we can find a way to prevent the last moments of her life being made public. Isn’t it time to draw the line somewhere.
I have an idea! Let’s dig up the loved ones of the producers, and anyone involved with this grotesque project and place them on MySpace.com or even better YouTube!!!!
Princess Di’s memory should remain as an eternal beauty she always is .So lets nt publish those
A Big NO,The pitchers can only bring pain to the people that Loved her and what she stood for
A person’s final moments should be between them and their’s. I have no wish to view any such pictures.
I have seen the pictures and they are not graphic they show a doctor who came upon the scene helping Diana and the caption reads that he was telling her to hang in there and that help was on the way. If her sons are ever to see the photos maybe they can find comfort that their mom was not alone and that someone was with her caring for her. That was what I got from them.
Let her REST in Peace. We should remember her when she was happy and with a beautiful smile and those blue eyes. Why people wants to make money from her last moment is beyond me!!!!!
OH gosh! Have they not had enough of her………….out of respect for her family……. stupid people, “LET HER REST IN PEACE…. ITS ABOUT TIME”
I lost a loved one not long ago in a tragic accident and I could not handle the thought of not being able to protect their final moments. It is not our business!! I feel it is not only exploiting her , but it is meant to hurt the and res erect the pain for loved ones she left behind. Leave the poor lady alone and let her rest in peace.
Think about it, would you want your mother, father, brother, sister, grandma, grandpa or children(s) final moments to be made public?
If you dont want to see them, dont look!
I changed my mind – dont show them.
IF IT WAS THIER LOVED ONE WOULD THEY WANT THE PICTURES DISPLAYED?!!! THINK OF HER LOVED ONES. THEY ARE FINALLY TRING TO GET THROUGH THIS AWFUL TRAGEDY AND NOW SOMEONE WANTS TO MAKE THEM HURT AND SUFFER ALL OVER AGAIN. GET REAL PEOPLE LET THE PRINCESS REST IN PEACE.
I feel that you should NOT show the pictures. Anyone who wants to see this woman as she lay dying is gross and degrading. What kind of gross individual would want to see that. Would someone want to see their loved one die in front of them knowing that there was nothing they could do to help them? What a sick world!!!!
Let’s see them. Princess Di was just a beloved housewife. People treat as if she were royalty. She was shunned by the Prince who looks like a horse. That should tell you all you need to know. I’ve never seen women flock so much to a housewife who road her husband’s coattails to fame. Guess there’s a lotta lonely housewives in the world. I want to see her broken up, dead, drowning in her own blood. Call me sick.
although this was a national tragedy. princess diana was loved my many not just family. although i would like to see i think it is a family matter, out of respect for her children it should be kept private.
i think the paparazzi should just allow diana to rest in peace
It was a tragedy of a loved woman.Pictures should never be released seeing its been 10yrs,leave the poor woman alone, and more so her friends and family. They were not released then, why now????
i think that she shou;d be left in peace and you are total prats for putting these pictures on the internetand just leave her in peace
You want to know what i think…I think that none of you really care about her if you dont want to know the truth! And that is al i really want toknow even thought she is dead.
The pictures should NOT be shown. She never got to have peace in her life, let her have it now!
The pictures should not be shown, She is with God now let her rest in peace.
I miss her so much even if i dont know and she didnt know Ive always liked since i was a kid. to proove that when she died in August 31 1997 I was only 4 but I knew how sober I was. I hope the press and the law enforcement Agencies would find the secrets behind her death. May her gentle soul rest in peace.
i think that it is wrong and that the photos should be burnt
I think as the public we deserve the right to know what happened and should see the pictures. If there wasnt so many lies surrounding the whole thing it would not be an issue and WAKE UP its a cover up and you would think her sons would be more concerned about what happened and who killed there mother because that was no accident everyone who actually knew anything was hushed up in some way. And no wonder the only survivor cant remember anything hes probably scared to tell the truth in fear for his life. All i can say is the wrong Royal died that day!!!!
i think she was a lovely lady and very loving to evey one that she met if i thought that showing them would help in finding out the real truth about what really happened then i say do it because if it was one of mine then i would have them put on bill boards sorry if this affends anyone but that how i feel
princess diana should be left alone now and leave her to rest in peace we all no what happened some with different views but this fine lady has gone now nothing will bring her back and to see the dying photos of her is discusting no concideration or thought just all to do with money so how much will they make for this one PERTHETIC
Lets all remember the beautiful princess like she was a verying caring person
Let her be. We love and miss her very much, shame on you.
hounded in life and it seems also in death.for god sake leave this lady to rest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
