Reagan's Diaries Published
Thursday May 31, 2007
During the eight years that U.S. President Ronald Reagan was in the White House (1981-1989), he wrote a brief diary entry nearly every single night. Even though the entries are short, Reagan's personality and feelings shine through. There are many entries of political importance, including his meetings with Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev, but also many mundane and touching moments, such as noting how much he missed his wife, Nancy, when she was away for a day or two.
These diaries have been edited by Douglas Brinkley and published this week as The Reagan Diaries.
