On Friday, December 21, 2007, Queen Elizabeth II becomes the oldest reigning monarch in British history. Queen Elizabeth will be passing Queen Victoria, who had held the record of being 81 years, 7 months, and 29 days old when she died on January 22, 1901. The next oldest monarch was King George III who was 81 years, 7 months, and 25 days old when he died on January 29, 1820.
