Follow a WWI Soldier's Experiences
Wednesday January 9, 2008
In an interesting and different format, you can now follow a World War I soldier's experiences in a blog. The letters are posted exactly 90 years after Private Harry Lamin wrote the originals. The first letter that Harry wrote home was on February 7, 1917, thus the blogger posted it on February 7, 2007. Since each subsequent letter is being posted on the date its original was sent, readers become like Harry's family, anxiously awaiting the next letter, never knowing which one will be his last. It's best to start in the 2006 archive for some background and then to follow Harry's story in chronological order. (Start from the bottom of the page and work your way to the top on each page.)
