Vietnam War Memorial Online

Thursday April 3, 2008
Since November 1982, anyone interested in seeing the Vietnam Veterans Memorial ("the Wall") had to go in person to Washington D.C. Now, the Wall is just a button click away. Footnote.com has created an online, interactive version of the Vietnam War memorial wall. A visitor can search for any one of the 58,320 names on the Wall by first name, last name, age, day or month born, day or month died, whether or not their body was recovered, hometown, race, or any of the other over 50 potential search criteria. An added benefit to this online version of the Wall, is that not only has each name been connected to the soldier's service record, but friends and family can add comments or pictures to the listing. To check out this new online version of the Wall, visit the Interactive Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
