New Monument to Homosexuals Killed in the Holocaust

By May 21, 2008

Follow me on:

This winter, a new memorial will be dedicated in Gan Meir in Tel Aviv, Israel to the homosexual victims of the Holocaust. Designed by Ron Assouline of the firm Filmind, the monument will be constructed of three, partially-buried panels, representative of the triangle homosexuals were forced to wear in Nazi camps. The three panels will surround a pit that will have light coming out of it. Although not all the names of homosexual victims are known, the names of the registered victims will be inscribed on the memorial in Hebrew.

I guess “The Pink Swastika” was never translated into Hebrew.

Reviewers Praise The Pink Swastika

“The Pink Swastika: Homosexuality in the Nazi Party is a thoroughly researched, eminently readable, demolition of the “gay” myth, symbolized by the pink triangle, that the Nazis were anti-homosexual. The deep roots of homosexuality in the Nazi party are brilliantly exposed . . .”
Dr. Howard Hurwitz, Family Defense Council

“As a Jewish scholar who lost hundreds of her family in the Holocaust, I welcome The Pink Swastika as courageous and timely . . . Lively and Abrams reveal the reigning “gay history” as revisionist and expose the supermale German homosexuals for what they were – Nazi brutes, not Nazi victims.”
Dr. Judith Reisman, Institute for Media Education

“The Pink Swastika is a tremendously valuable book, replete with impressive documentation presented in a compelling fashion.” William Grigg, The New American

“…exposes numerous lies, and tears away many myths. Essential reading, it is a formidable boulder cast into the path of the onrushing homosexual express…”
Stan Goodenough, Middle East Intelligence Digest

“The Pink Swastika is a powerful exposure of pre-World War II Germany and its quest for reviving and imitating a Hellenistic-paganistic idea of homo-eroticism and militarism.”
Dr. Mordechai Nisan, Hebrew University of Jerusalem

“Lively and Abrams call attention to what Hitlerism really stood for, abortion, euthanasia, hatred of Jews, and, very emphatically, homosexuality. This many of us knew in the 1930’s; it was common knowledge, but now it is denied…”
R. J. Rushdoony, The Chalcedon Report

I read somewhere that the reason some of Hitler’s allies in other parties were killed was because they knew he was a male prostitute in Vienna in his youth, anyone here that as well?

Am I reading this article correctly?
A monument for murdered homosexuals?
Does the world really need such a monument? Why not have a monument for all of the people who had brown eyes killed during WWII or red hair or left handed and the list goes on. This world is going down hill fast. Don’t get me wrong, the Nazi’s were and still are the most evil beings on the face of the earth. There’s no doubt about it but why are the homosexuals pushing their way of life down our throats with every topic under the sun and trying to make their way of life appear to be normal? Push, Push and Push your way of life right out of the window. They must of had a few homosexual monuments in Sodom and Gomorrah before they were lit up and destroyed. You are disgracing the one’s who have perished by the hands of the Nazis with your sick way of life. Yes, sick way of life. I have family members who are gay but they don’t push their way of life on me or my family. We get along great. I have several gay friends, and they too don’t push the issue. Give those Palestine terrorist another reason to bomb Israel. I just don’t know anymore.

I am a bit surprised at the degree of anti-homosexual sentiment expressed in the earlier comments. I’m surprised that such people actually would read an article about the Holocaust or history in general. Homosexuals were persecuted under National Socialism and many did end up in the camps, so why shouldn’t there be a monument of remembrance? As for the book “Pink Swastika” it is pure garbage. Although Ernst Rhoem and few members of the SA were homosexual, the party was ideologicaly oppossed to homosexual (much like the previous commentators and the author of Pink Swastika).

Very well said Nick. I have a gay family member also that I accept and love. At the samt time I have a right to disagree with the lifestyle. We are heading down a very
destructive path, for you who don’t know.
You poor worldly people with your eyes wide shut, if you could only see beyond your own egos.

The attempt by some pseudo intellectuals here to try and convince any innocent who wanders here that there is a “homosexual conspiracy” is just the usual lunitic ravings of radical right wingnuts who don’t seem to have anything better to do than spew their bigotry and hatred everywhere. Here is the truth. There were homosexuals in the Nazi Party, there were homosexuals among the Jewish people who were persecuted, there were homosexuals in all of the Allied and Axis Armies, the are homosexual senators in the Republican party and homosexual representatives in the Democratic party. The radical right wingnuts who spend so much time attacking homosexuals have not figured out that homosexuality is just another way of expressing ones sexual identity. It has nothing to do with any conspiracies or morals or political persuasions. It just quite simply is.

Anyone studying the Nazi party will come away with the feeling that there was something quite “different” about these fanatical people. They were just a little to “perfect” compared to other militant parties. Quite the same kind of “male perfection” will be found in the homosexual movement, where male perfection is adored. Homosexuals were NOT targets for extinction but SOME homosexuals, namely some “femmes” were picked out by the “butches” in the Nazi party for extermination. WHY? Because they did NOT represent the male perfectionism that the butches worshipped. Moreover, of the 5,000-15,000 homosexual victims of the camps, no one really knows just how many were really homosexual and how many were actually heterosexuals arrested on trumped up charges of homosexuality. All one has to do is consider the population of Nazi Germany during the war (65-70 million) and multiply by .028 (statistics indicate that 2.8% of the German male population was homosexual) to see that in order to annihiliate all male homosexuals just in Germany would require the killing of nearly TWO MILLION homosexual males. What percentage is 5-15 thousand of that? MINISCULE. There was NO intention by the Nazi to eradicate homosexuals from their midst. Were SOME homosexuals VICTIMS? Undeniably so. Were they TARGETED for ANNIHILATION? ABSOLUTELY NOT. And what about lesbians? If the goal was to annihilate ALL homosexuals, then why are lesbians not mentioned as being victims in the camps? It stands to reason that if eradication of homosexuality was the goal, then ALL homosexuals should have suffered in the camps. There is NO indication that lesbians suffered the same fate as a small segment of the male homosexual population did.
