Deep Throat Dies

W. Mark Felt, better known as "Deep Throat," died on December 18, 2008 at the age of 95. Felt had been the associate director of the FBI when he became the anonymous source used by Washington Post reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein to help break the Watergate Scandal story. For three decades, the mysterious identity of Deep Throat piqued the curiosity of the nation. In May 2005, Felt broke his silence and finally revealed himself to be the secret source in a Vanity Fair article.
