Albania Wants Mother Teresa's Remains

Wednesday October 14, 2009
The Albanian government recently demanded India remove the remains of Mother Teresa from their current location in Kolkata (previously called Calcutta) and send them to Albania. India has refused their request.

The Albanians believe Mother Teresa's remains should be sent to them because Mother Teresa was ethnically Albanian.

I do not see that happening. I read through most of the events of the 20th century. Enjoyed it greatly.

About Mother Teresa’s remains being flown to Albania. I think the Albanian government should not be concerned about where the remains of mother Teresa is because it was mother Teresa’s wish to be buried in India where she actually belonged. If they are so concerned they should do what mother Teresa likes best. They should celebrate her 100th birthday with the people she loved so much. They should give to them and make them not to miss their mother so much. That i believe will make mother Teresa happy and not the exhumation of her fragile body. Thanks.

If the Albanians are so keen on having Mother Teresa back, they should learn what she represents. Mother Teresa’s work was done in the name of Christian teachings. The Albanians should come back to that and to us [Europe]; they are truly missed.

Roger, Europe should understand (like America does) that to us albanians, christianity or islam, they dont mean much to us. Our nation, thats what it matters to us, religion??? It is second hand and its only optional. That’s what makes us a small but a great nation.
