Jim Wilkin of the Queen's Own Rifles of Canada, B Company shares his story of landing on Juno Beach. Written in easy-to-understand language, Wilkin offers details, feelings, and specifics of his training, the attack on the beach, and how he got wounded.

A wonderful collection of personal stories from the invasion of Normandy, including paratroopers, pilots, and infantry.

Establishing the Sector Headquarters
Lieutenant Freddie Corpes, RNVR, was singled out in March 1944 to be "bigoted." That is, to be given information more secret than "top secret." Corpes' account begins with him being singled out for early study and planning of Operation Neptune and Operation Overlord and continues with his experiences during D-Day and with the difficulty of establishing a sector headquarters.
