The Large Memorial

At the end of the path, you come to this view.

In front of you is both the cemetery and the memorial. The memorial, shaped like a large menorah, was placed here in 1972 by the Czechoslovakian government.

The cemetery was used in the beginning of the Theresienstadt Ghetto to bury the dead. There are markers scattered on the green grass, but there are no names or dates; they bare only a single, engraved Star of David. The cemetery continues far to the right of this photo. The crematorium is just to the left.
