Hitler Picture: Hitler Wielding a Shovel

Adolf Hitler wields a spade at the groundbreaking ceremony for construction of the first section of the autobahn from Frankfurt am Main to Darmstadt on September 23, 1933 in Frankfurt. Standing directly behind Hitler is Jakob Sprenger, Gauleiter of Hessen-Nassau. The picture postcard is addressed to Alfred Lutz in Possneck and is dated September 28, 1933. (September 23, 1933).
