FDR Memorial in Washington DC
Room 4: The Fourth Term

by Jennifer Rosenberg

A sculpture of Eleanor Roosevelt, standing next to the United Nations emblem. To the left reads the quote: "The structure of world peace cannot be the work of one man, or one party, or one nation, it must be a peace which rests on the cooperative effort of the whole world." This statue is the first time a first lady has been honored in a presidential memorial.

At the end of the memorial runs a very large waterfall. Perhaps to show the strength and endurance of the U.S.?
