Charles Manson and "Family" Kill (1969): On August 9, 1969, Charles Manson sent four of members of his hippie cult "Family" to murder the people inside the home at 10050 Cielo Drive in Los Angeles. Among those murdered were actress Sharon Tate (director Roman Polanski's wife), Sharon's unborn child, Abigail Folger, Voytek Frykowski, Jay Sebring, and Steven Earl Parent. The following night, Manson's followers brutally killed Leno and Rosemary LaBianca in their home.
