1920 - Pancho Villa Retires

Pancho Villa Retires (1920): Pancho Villa was a Mexican revolutionary leader who advocated for the poor and wanted agrarian reform. Though he was a killer, a bandit, and a revolutionary leader, many remember him as a folk hero. In 1920, Pancho Villa agreed to retire as part of a peace agreement with the new interim president of Mexico, Adolfo De la Huerta.
