Hindenburg Disaster

The Hindenburg Disaster (1937): After a three-day trip across the Atlantic from Frankfurt, Germany to New Jersey, the Hindenburg (a large, rigid airship) was in the process of landing when it broke into flames at 7:25 p.m. on May 6, 1937. Within 34 seconds, the entire airship was consumed by fire.
