On July 16, 1969, the Apollo 11 crew launched into the sky from Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Their mission was to carry Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin to the surface of the moon. On July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong left the Eagle and became the first human to ever walk on the moon.
